The underside of the fresh green leaves of the charming-looking Tradescantia spathacea is dark purple. The Tradescantias are a grateful houseplant for which the normal room temperature is perfect all year round. Tradescantia likes a bright but not toasty place to grow. The plant is watered vigorously at one time and then allowed to dry over the surface soil between waterins. Fertilize it every few weeks during the growing season. Even in winter it is advisable to apply fertilizer, but only once a month. During winter, watering should also be reduced. Height 30 cm. Pot size 12 cm.
