Ficus microcarpa ginseng is a member of the fig family. It has beautiful, round or oval green, shiny leaves and a thick stem and root system. Despite its name, the fig tree thrives in abundant light. The fig is always watered extensively at one time and the soil is allowed to dry before the next watering. The plant stores water and nutrients in its thick roots and therefore lasts for long periods without watering. During the dark winter months, when it consumes little water, the soil must be kept fairly dry. Height about 80 cm. Pot size 25 cm.
