Paeonia (LD) 'Sarah Bernhardt' The specie is called 'Pink Flowers' by Sarah Bernhardt and has doubled pink flowers. The peonies are the most important group perennias in our gardens. Their great popularity is based on beautiful, large and often scented doubled flowers. Paeonia lactifloras are usually completely winter-resistant. Peonies need to be content with the growing strain of years, and they do not like moving. Peonies should not be planted too deep. There must be no more than 3-5 cm soil on the top of buds. Too deep planting is followed by poor flowering and growth. The breeding culture has to be, nutritious and permeable sandy soil, not too tight clay soil. The plant must not be allowed to dry in hot weather. Peonies are deep-rooted plants, so after the first year irrigation is not needed. Piones is fertilized with a little nitrogen nutrients, willingly with organic fertilizers, for example, bone bowder. Doubled and large flowers require support. Good as a cut flower.
