Plectranthus thrives on the windowsill, balcony and ampel, as well as in a bright place outdoors. The plant should be cutted about every 5 weeks and also cut, so that there is more branching. It is not advisable to let the flowering plant, because the flowers take away the color from the leaves. Color is also impaired by fertilization with too much nitrogen. The plant should not be allowed to dry; it thrives in a bright place. The soil should be slightly acidic. As a potted plant, plectranthus usually grows to a height of about 30 cm.
